A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced ARB‑registered Architect to join my client’s expanding residential team. They specialise in delivering high‑quality new build homes across Surrey, Berkshire and West London, and are now seeking a technically strong Architect to join their team
This role suits someone who enjoys taking ownership of technical delivery, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to contribute to well‑considered, design‑led residential schemes.
About the Role
You’ll be working predominantly on developer‑led new build housing projects, taking responsibility for the technical coordination and production of detailed construction information. While the role is technically focused, there will be opportunities to input into early design stages and help shape new build concepts.
You’ll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring smooth progression from planning through to construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the technical development and delivery of residential schemes
- Prepare accurate, fully coordinated working drawing packages
- Support design refinement and development where needed
- Fulfil Principal Designer duties and ensure regulatory compliance
- Manage and coordinate design information across project stages
- Work closely with internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders
- Liaise with planning authorities, building control and other statutory bodies
- Ensure all outputs align with current Planning Policy and Building Regulations
- Uphold strong technical and design standards across all project work
Skills & Experience Required
- ARB‑registered Architect
- 3–5 years’ post‑qualification experience
- Strong background in new build residential projects
- Confident producing detailed construction drawings and technical information
- Solid understanding of UK Planning and Building Regulations
- Experience acting as Principal Designer
- Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit exposure beneficial
- Strong communicator with a collaborative mindset
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet project deadlines
