A nationally recognised, award-winning multidisciplinary design practice is seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join its growing Birmingham office. With a team of 70 professionals across four UK locations, the practice delivers innovative and technically robust design solutions across sectors including education, residential, industrial, and commercial.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across various sectors

Produce and review high-quality technical design information across all RIBA work stages

Conduct site visits and represent the practice in client and consultant meetings

Liaise with planning authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance

Apply practical problem-solving to complex design and construction challenges

Travel to project sites across the UK as required

Work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment
Candidate Requirements

Minimum 5 years of industry experience as an Architectural Technologist, Technician, or technically focused Architect

Degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent UK-recognised qualification

Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and current construction legislation

Proven experience across all phases of the design process, including site oversight

Confident in client-facing roles and project coordination

Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design tools

Excellent time management, communication, and teamwork skills

Fluent written and spoken English

Experience with ArchiCAD is beneficial but not essential (training provided)
