Architectural Technologist

Conrad Consulting are currently working with a leading UK architectural practice with studios across the country, seeking to appoint multiple Architectural Technologists to join its Nottingham team.

The practice is known for delivering thoughtful, people‑focused design across sectors including education, workplace, residential, science & research, civic, and transport. With a strong emphasis on sustainability, wellbeing and social value, the studio creates buildings that support communities, enhance user experience and respond intelligently to context.

The Nottingham studio is expanding and is looking for Technologists who are passionate about high‑quality technical design, collaborative working and contributing to projects that make a positive impact.

About the Role

You will work across multiple live projects at various RIBA stages, contributing to the delivery of complex, design‑led schemes. The role sits within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment where innovation, technical rigour and teamwork are central to the practice’s approach.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the delivery of large, complex projects, with an initial focus on the education sector

  • Preparing coordinated technical design and construction packages using Revit

  • Ensuring compliance with building regulations, sustainability objectives and industry best practice

  • Coordinating with structural, MEP, landscape and digital design teams to deliver integrated, buildable solutions

  • Contributing to a positive studio culture and supporting junior colleagues

What You’ll Bring

  • 3–10+ years’ post‑graduate experience as an Architectural Technologist

  • Strong proficiency in Revit

  • Experience working across multiple RIBA stages, particularly Stages 4 and 5

  • Understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction standards

  • Experience coordinating with multiple disciplines in a collaborative, design‑led environment

  • Prior experience in education projects is beneficial but not essential

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, team‑focused mindset

Successful Architectural Technologists will be offered a salary in the region of £35,000-£45,000 dependent on experience, along with a benefits package which includes hybrid/flexible working.
