Architectural Technologist

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Architectural Technologist with 2–3 years' experience to join a well-established multi-disciplinary construction and property consultancy based in Sheffield.

Our client delivers an integrated range of Architectural Design, Project Management, and Building Surveying services across the Commercial, Education, and Residential sectors. The Role

You will play an active role in the design and technical delivery of a wide variety of projects, working closely with Architects, Building Surveyors, and Project Managers. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design through to construction, taking responsibility for producing technical information, coordinating designs, and ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard.

This role is ideal for an Architectural Technologist looking to broaden their project experience, develop their technical expertise, and progress their career within a multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality architectural drawings, technical details, and construction packages.

  • Support the delivery of projects across all RIBA work stages.

  • Produce and coordinate technical information using AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.

  • Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations, planning requirements, and relevant technical standards.

  • Prepare specifications, schedules, and supporting technical documentation.

  • Attend site visits, design team meetings, and client meetings as required.

  • Assist with project coordination, technical problem-solving, and construction-stage support.

  • Contribute to the successful delivery of projects within agreed timescales and budgets.

About You

  • Degree in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.

  • Approximately 2–3 years' experience within an architectural practice or multidisciplinary consultancy.

  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, with Revit experience preferred.

  • Sound understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.

  • Experience producing technical drawing packages and coordinating project information.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to manage your own workload while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.

  • A proactive approach with a genuine enthusiasm for delivering high-quality technical design solutions.
