We're looking for an Architectural Technologist with around 3–5 years' experience to join a growing team delivering high-quality residential care and retirement living developments across the UK.
Based at our clients modern Leeds office, conveniently located just off the M62, you'll become part of a collaborative team that specialises in designing communities which genuinely improve quality of life. Project focus on creating modern care homes and retirement living developments that combine thoughtful design with technical excellence.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of projects from planning through to construction, working alongside experienced architects, technologists, and development professionals. You'll play a key role in producing coordinated, buildable technical information while developing your own technical and project management skills.
The Role
As an Architectural Technologist, you'll support the technical delivery of projects across all RIBA work stages, helping to ensure designs are coordinated, compliant, and ready for construction.
Working within a multidisciplinary development team, you'll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle—from initial feasibility and planning through to site delivery—on a range of residential and specialist accommodation schemes.

Many of our schemes are delivered on a full turnkey basis, providing the opportunity to experience every stage of the development process, from land acquisition and planning through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Delivery
- Produce and coordinate technical drawings, construction packages and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Support the technical development of projects across all RIBA stages.
- Prepare information for planning, Building Regulations and other statutory approvals.
- Assist with feasibility studies, site layouts and design development.
- Ensure technical information is accurate, coordinated and compliant with current UK Building Regulations.
Project Coordination
- Work collaboratively with architects, consultants, contractors and the wider development team.
- Coordinate technical information across multiple live projects.
- Attend site visits to monitor progress and assist in resolving technical and construction queries.
- Help ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high technical standard.
Professional Development
- Receive mentoring from experienced senior staff to further develop your technical expertise.
- Build your project management skills through involvement in live developments.
- Contribute ideas that improve technical standards, workflows and project delivery.
Requirements
Essential
- 3–5 years' experience as an Architectural Technologist, Architectural Technician or similar.
- Experience producing technical information from planning through to construction.
- Strong working knowledge of Revit (BIM) and AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, planning processes and construction methods.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery.
Desirable
- MCIAT or working towards Chartered membership.
- Experience within residential, care or retirement living sectors.
- A proactive mindset with excellent attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving.
