An established and prominent multi-disciplinary Architectural and Building Surveying consultancy in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire is looking to recruit an experienced Architectural Technologist to join their growing Architectural Team.
You'll be joining a modern, forward-thinking consultancy with over 40 years of experience delivering high-quality construction consultancy services to the residential housing sector across the UK. Working alongside a talented team of Architects, Technologists and Surveyors, you'll play a key role in delivering a wide variety of residential refurbishment and regeneration projects, including complex high-rise schemes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Architectural Technologist looking to work on technically challenging projects within a collaborative environment that genuinely invests in the development and progression of its staff.
Architectural Technologist Role Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
- Develop coordinated drawing packages for planning, Building Regulations and construction stages.
- Prepare technical detailing solutions for residential refurbishment and regeneration projects.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP consultants, contractors and other design professionals.
- Ensure designs comply with current UK Building Regulations, planning requirements and British Standards.
- Support projects throughout all stages from concept through to completion.
- Attend site inspections, surveys and construction reviews.
- Identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues.
- Assist in managing project programmes, deliverables and project deadlines.
- Contribute towards technical reviews and quality assurance procedures.
Ideal Background
- Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience within the UK construction industry.
- Proven experience delivering residential refurbishment projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of high-rise residential developments.
- Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction methods.
- Experience producing detailed construction drawing packages.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently whilst contributing effectively within a team.
- CIAT membership or working towards Chartered status would be advantageous.
- Experience of Building Safety Act requirements, Gateway submissions and fire safety regulations is desirable.
- Knowledge of BIM processes and Common Data Environments would be beneficial.
Applications will also be considered from technically strong Part II Architects looking to progress towards Part III, provided they possess the relevant technical experience.
