Conrad Consulting are recruiting on behalf of a well-established M&E contractor who is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team in Edinburgh.

The Role of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers, you'll play a key role in the commercial delivery of a range of mechanical and electrical projects from inception through to final account.
Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the commercial management of multiple M&E projects.

Preparing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.

Supporting subcontractor procurement and account management.

Managing variations and change control.
-
Monitoring project costs, budgets and forecasts.

Assisting with commercial reporting and cost analysis.

Liaising with project teams, clients and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

Experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Graduate Quantity Surveyor role within construction or M&E.

A degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.

Strong commercial awareness and excellent organisational skills.

The ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and subcontractors.

A proactive attitude and a desire to develop within a successful and growing business.
Experience working on commercial, fit-out or education projects would be advantageous, although candidates from a wider construction background are encouraged to apply.

£40,000–£50,000 basic salary, depending on experience. Plus car allowance.
