Conrad Consulting is delighted to be working with a leading, award-winning multidisciplinary consultancy that is continuing to grow its Building Surveying team in London.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate Building Surveyor to join a successful, close-knit team with a strong pipeline of work and genuine opportunities for career progression.

You’ll take a hands-on role delivering a broad range of building surveying and project consultancy services, working across sectors including public sector, residential and housing, education, healthcare, commercial and insurance.

This is more than a project delivery role. You’ll have the opportunity to develop client relationships, win new work, mentor junior surveyors and play a key role in the continued growth of the London team.

The Role

As an Associate Building Surveyor, you will:

  • Deliver a wide range of building surveying services, with a strong project-focused bias
  • Lead projects from inception through to completion
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and internal technical resources
  • Build and develop strong, long-term client relationships
  • Identify opportunities and contribute to business development and winning new work
  • Manage, supervise and mentor junior members of the team
  • Review technical work to ensure consistently high standards
  • Manage your own workload, programmes and project priorities
  • Contribute to the financial management and forecasting of projects

About You

We’re looking for an experienced MRICS Building Surveyor with consultancy experience and a genuine ambition to progress.

You should have:

  • MRICS qualification
  • Strong consultancy-based Building Surveying experience
  • Excellent technical knowledge across building surveying and project work
  • Experience working with public sector clients would be advantageous
  • Strong project management and client-facing skills
  • Commercial awareness and an appetite for business development
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage your own workload and work with minimal supervision
  • A proactive, analytical and solutions-focused approach
