A leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy is seeking an Associate Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Milton Keynes office. This role offers the opportunity to take a key leadership position within a well-respected cost management practice, working across a diverse portfolio of projects and clients.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing commercial delivery, providing strategic cost advice, and supporting the continued development of the regional team. You’ll work closely with directors and clients to deliver best-in-class service across sectors, including retail, commercial, residential, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of cost management services from feasibility through to final account.
- Oversee the preparation of tender and contract documentation, procurement, valuations, and cost reporting.
- Manage and mentor junior surveyors, supporting their technical and professional development.
- Provide robust commercial advice to clients, supporting decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
- Chair key commercial meetings and liaise with contractors and stakeholders.
- Administer contracts (JCT and NEC) and ensure best practice in risk, value, and cost management.
- Contribute to business development and support the regional leadership team.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6+ years’ experience, ideally within a consultancy environment.
- Strong technical background and leadership experience across multiple sectors.
- Excellent understanding of JCT and NEC contracts.
- Confident communicator with proven client-facing experience.
- MRICS qualified (or working towards chartership).
