ASSOCIATE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially aware Chartered Structural Engineer to join their growing team in an Associate-level position. This opportunity is ideally suited to a motivated professional looking to play a key role in project delivery while contributing to the wider leadership and development of the business.

The successful candidate must be a Chartered Engineer with a strong technical background in structural engineering and a proven ability to manage projects from inception through to completion. A detailed understanding of Eurocodes is essential, along with demonstrable experience in the design, specification and detailing of a wide range of construction materials.

This role requires an individual with excellent technical judgement and a meticulous approach to reviewing calculations, drawings and documentation produced by other engineers and technicians. Strong communication skills are equally important, as the position involves regular client interaction, technical reporting and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Applicants should also have substantial experience carrying out structural inspections and preparing clear, concise technical reports. The ability to communicate complex engineering matters effectively, both verbally and in writing, is essential.

The practice delivers a diverse portfolio of structural engineering projects across multiple sectors, including regeneration schemes, Department for Education schools, independent schools, commercial developments, sports and leisure facilities, residential projects, recladding works, heritage buildings and civil engineering structures.

This position would suit an ambitious and proactive engineer who is keen to take on increased responsibility and become involved in the strategic and operational management of a successful consultancy.

In return, our client offers a competitive salary and benefits package, a supportive and collaborative working environment, and ongoing professional and technical development opportunities.
