BIM Manager

A leading multi‑disciplinary property and construction consultancy is seeking an experienced BIM Manager to join their Nottingham office. This senior role is central to driving ISO 19650 compliance, improving digital design processes, and enhancing BIM Level 2 project delivery across a large, collaborative team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a BIM specialist who wants to shape practice‑wide standards, lead digital transformation, and support multi‑disciplinary teams in delivering coordinated, high‑quality projects.

The role

The BIM Manager will lead the organisation’s digital information strategy, ensuring full alignment with ISO 19650 standards and supporting the delivery of BIM Level 2 projects. This position bridges operational needs, quality assurance, and project execution.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of ISO 19650‑aligned BIM standards

  • Develop and maintain BIM documentation including MIDPs, BEPs, IDPs and COBie schedules

  • Create efficient systems, templates and workflows to support BIM Level 2 delivery

  • Provide training and technical support in Revit, CAD and BIM processes

  • Oversee quality control through auditing, spot checks and reporting

  • Manage the development and coordination of Revit/CAD components and BIM content

  • Liaise with external consultants and undertake research to maintain industry best practice

  • Line manage the central BIM Technician, overseeing workload and development

  • Contribute to strategic planning for software, hardware, licensing and digital resources

  • Support design teams and external partners to ensure BIM projects are correctly set up and coordinated

  • Report to senior management on BIM implementation, progress and adoption

  • Gather and manage internal feedback to drive continuous improvement

  • Ensure BIM systems integrate with Defence‑sector security protocols

  • Provide hands‑on project support when required

  • Lead internal BIM and CAD working groups across multi‑disciplinary teams

  • Explore opportunities to integrate AI tools into BIM and CAD workflows
