Building Surveyor – £40,000 to £50,000 + benefits

We’re searching for a Building Surveyor with a strong technical grounding and a flair for project delivery. If you enjoy variety, responsibility and working closely with clients to deliver meaningful results, this is one not to miss.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in the project team, contributing to everything from scheme development to tender packages, funding applications, site inspections and contract administration. Expect a mix of design involvement, technical reporting, client liaison and hands‑on project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project briefs, designs, specs and tender documents
- Support funding bids (SCA / CIF) with surveys, research and technical input
- Carry out site visits, H&S reporting, minutes and contract admin duties
- Assist with core building surveying tasks including condition surveys, defect analysis and RICS survey reporting
- Coordinate documentation to keep projects running smoothly
- Work collaboratively across technical teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
- 2–3 years’ experience in a project surveying / project management role
- Strong client‑facing communication skills
- Ability to work proactively, manage deadlines and produce high‑quality documentation
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (including MS Project)
- Full UK driving licence + DBS
- Highly organised, professional and confident working with clients, contractors and consultants
Desirable:
- Professional qualifications (RICS, CIOB, NEBOSH, IOSH, Fire, etc.)
- Experience supporting junior team members
- PRINCE2 / APM or similar project management credentials
- Previous client management exposure
