The Role

As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you'll deliver a wide range of professional building surveying services while managing projects from inception to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering condition surveys, defect diagnosis and technical due diligence.
  • Managing refurbishment, maintenance and improvement projects.
  • Preparing specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation.
  • Administering JCT building contracts through all project stages.
  • Undertaking dilapidations, party wall matters and reinstatement cost assessments.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
  • Supporting business development and helping grow key client accounts.
  • Mentoring junior surveyors and assisting with project financial management.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • MRICS Chartered status.
  • A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Experience working within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial, retail or education sector properties.
  • Excellent experience administering JCT contracts.
  • Outstanding communication and client relationship skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Experience using NBS Chorus is advantageous but not essential.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.
