The Role
As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you'll deliver a wide range of professional building surveying services while managing projects from inception to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering condition surveys, defect diagnosis and technical due diligence.
- Managing refurbishment, maintenance and improvement projects.
- Preparing specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation.
- Administering JCT building contracts through all project stages.
- Undertaking dilapidations, party wall matters and reinstatement cost assessments.
- Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
- Supporting business development and helping grow key client accounts.
- Mentoring junior surveyors and assisting with project financial management.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- MRICS Chartered status.
- A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
- Experience working within a consultancy environment.
- Strong knowledge of commercial, retail or education sector properties.
- Excellent experience administering JCT contracts.
- Outstanding communication and client relationship skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience using NBS Chorus is advantageous but not essential.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.
