Conrad Consulting is currently working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy seeking an ambitious Building Surveyor to join its growing London team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor looking to develop their career within a large, highly established professional services environment, working alongside experienced property professionals across a varied portfolio of projects and clients.
The role will provide exposure to a broad range of building surveying instructions, combining professional and project-based work. You will be involved in delivering high-quality technical advice and supporting clients throughout the lifecycle of their property assets.
The Role
As a Building Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking building surveys, condition surveys and defect diagnosis.
- Preparing technical reports and schedules of works.
- Providing professional building surveying advice to a diverse client base.
- Assisting with planned and reactive maintenance programmes.
- Supporting project delivery, including specification and contract administration.
- Working with clients, contractors and other consultants to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Contributing to the continued growth and development of the London building surveying team.
The role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of sectors and property types, providing excellent breadth of experience and long-term career progression.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
- Previous experience within a building surveying consultancy environment.
- Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness.
- Experience across professional building surveying instructions, with project experience advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage workloads effectively and work to deadlines.
- A proactive, client-focused approach.
MRICS qualification is desirable, although candidates working towards chartership will also be considered.
