Chartered Building Surveyor

Conrad Consulting is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) to join a well-established and growing Building Consultancy team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded consultancy delivering high-quality building surveying services across a diverse portfolio of public and private sector clients. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied workload, combining both project-led and professional building surveying instructions.

The Role

Working as part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of building surveying services, including:

  • Contract administration and project management of refurbishment, alteration and maintenance schemes.
  • Preparation of specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation.
  • Building inspections and condition surveys.
  • Dilapidations (acting for both landlord and tenant).
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) surveys.
  • Technical due diligence and acquisition surveys.
  • Defect diagnosis and preparation of technical reports.
  • Party wall matters and other professional building surveying services where appropriate.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while contributing to the continued growth of the team.

About You

To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:

  • MRICS qualification (essential).
  • A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience delivering both project and professional building surveying services.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building pathology, construction and contract administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, client-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple commissions.
  • Full UK driving licence.
