Chartered Building Surveyor

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MRICS Building Surveyor to work on a varied portfolio of education-sector projects, providing professional building surveying advice to clients across the region.

The Role

You will be involved in a broad range of building surveying instructions, with a particular focus on education projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building surveys and condition assessments
  • Planned maintenance and lifecycle advice
  • Preparation of specifications and schedules of work
  • Contract administration and project management
  • Defect diagnosis and technical reporting
  • Monitoring refurbishment and improvement works
  • Providing professional advice to education-sector clients
  • Managing client relationships and developing new business opportunities

About You

We are looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) with strong technical knowledge and experience across a range of building surveying disciplines.

You should have:

  • MRICS qualification
  • Previous experience working within a building surveying consultancy
  • Strong knowledge of building pathology and construction
  • Experience delivering projects from inception through to completion
  • Experience of contract administration and project management
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • A genuine interest in working within the education sector

Experience working on schools, colleges, universities or other public-sector estates would be particularly advantageous.
