Commercial Manager - Defence Projects

About the Role
Conrad Consulting is proud to be partnering with a leading global consultancy to recruit a Commercial Manager for their London-based team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile defence projects, supporting critical national infrastructure and delivering complex programmes of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial aspects of defence-related projects from inception through to completion
- Provide cost management, contract administration, and procurement support
- Develop and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
- Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Support tendering processes and contract negotiations
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Commercial Manager, Quantity Surveyor, or similar role
- Background in working on complex infrastructure or defence projects is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of contract forms (e.g., NEC, JCT)
- Excellent commercial awareness and financial management skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
Security Clearance Requirement
Due to the nature of the projects, candidates must be UK citizens holding a single nationality passport and be eligible to obtain the appropriate level of security clearance.
