Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 + £5,500 car allowance

A leading independent, partner-led consultancy is seeking a Divisional Director – Quantity Surveying to join its London office. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for a portfolio of high-value residential and mixed-use projects (£50m+), spanning urban regeneration, commercial, PBSA, and complex mixed-use schemes.

 

The successful candidate will take ownership of key client accounts, oversee multi-project delivery, and provide strategic commercial leadership across the office. They will lead, mentor, and develop a team of around 20 QSs, ensuring high-quality delivery while driving the growth and profitability of the London office. This role offers a clear pathway to Partner-level progression and the opportunity to shape the long-term strategy of a respected consultancy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery and commercial oversight of multiple high-value projects (£50m+).
  • Manage and grow key client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Provide strategic direction for project and office-level commercial operations.
  • Oversee internal teams of QSs, mentoring senior and mid-level staff.
  • Drive business development, client acquisition, and fee growth.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Lead contract administration, risk management, and change control at senior level.
  • Represent the firm externally at client and industry events, enhancing reputation.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • MRICS-qualified Quantity Surveyor.
  • Extensive consultancy experience in client-facing, leadership, and commercial roles.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-project portfolios and high-value schemes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Track record of contributing to business growth and strategic decision-making.
