Director (Architecture) required to join a growing Manchester city centre practice.

A national Architecture practice with a strong presence across the UK, with a base in Manchester and an established presence here for over a decade.
Having recently undergone some senior level changes, an opportunity has presented itself for a proven senior figurehead to take ownership of this Manchester studio.
The Manchester studio is home to around 8 staff, and there is appetite at board level to increase this number to 12 or more by the end of the year.
As the newly positioned Director of the Manchester studio, you will assume responsibilities including recruitment and office growth.
You will be responsible for leading the design team and supporting junior colleagues amongst various additional senior level responsibilities.
We are looking for someone with the experience, the personality and the desire to become part of something quite unique in Manchester. This person should be forward-thinking, open-minded and driven.
Key criteria we are looking for candidates to display:
- ARB/RIBA Architect – Minimum 10 years post-qualification.
- Previous experience in a senior, leadership role (Associate/Associate Director/Director)
- Strong communication skills: Written, verbal, presentation.
- Project experience in relevant sectors.
- Desire and ambition to perform in a leadership role.
Typical projects you will find here have a mainly Residential-focus. This could be a medium/high-rise development, Masterplanning scheme, retirement living or something similar. They are also known for their work in the Industrial and Healthcare sectors too. They are not opposed to further developing into new areas too. If the newly appointed Director has experience/knowledge of other sectors and the desire to develop this, it would be encouraged.
