A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy is expanding its Project Management / Building Consultancy team. The company delivers a full range of design, engineering, surveying, and professional services across the built environment, providing high-quality, innovative solutions for both public and private sector clients. They’re seeking a motivated Graduate or Intermediate Employers Agent to support the delivery of construction and refurbishment projects across multiple sectors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to gain exposure to a wide variety of projects while working alongside experienced professionals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Employers Agent on new build, refurbishment, and maintenance projects from inception to completion.
  • Assist in the preparation of project briefs, feasibility studies, and development appraisals.
  • Prepare tender documentation, Employers Requirements, and specifications.
  • Manage procurement processes, including tender evaluation and contractor appointments.
  • Monitor project progress, chair meetings, and prepare client reports.
  • Administer contracts (typically JCT) and manage project changes, risks, and issues.
  • Support senior team members and gradually take responsibility for a personal portfolio of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company procedures.
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients, consultants, and contractors.

 

Skills & Experience Required

  • Degree in a relevant property or construction discipline (e.g., Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Construction Management).
  • Some experience in an Employers Agent, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management role (placement year or post-graduate experience acceptable).
  • Understanding of project delivery processes and construction contracts (JCT experience beneficial).
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive approach with willingness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
