The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join an established and growing civil engineering and construction contractor, working across a diverse range of projects throughout Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with a background in civil engineering, infrastructure or general construction who is looking to join a progressive business with a strong pipeline of work.
Key Responsibilities:

Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions.

Reviewing tender documentation, drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.

Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.

Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering options.

Preparing detailed take-offs and cost breakdowns.

Liaising with operational, commercial and procurement teams throughout the tender process.

Ensuring tender submissions are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Supporting the business in securing new projects and maintaining a healthy pipeline of work.
Requirements:

Previous experience working as an Estimator within civil engineering or construction.

Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials and associated costs.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and tender documentation.

Experience preparing detailed estimates and tender submissions.

Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
-
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
