An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Infrastructure Technician to join an established and highly respected civil engineering consultancy in Swindon.
The successful candidate will become part of a busy infrastructure team, working on the detailed design and delivery of private and adoptable infrastructure schemes for residential, commercial and leisure developments.
The role will involve producing technical drawings and designs, liaising with clients, Local Authorities and other members of the design team, as well as attending occasional site visits and meetings. Full training and ongoing development will be provided through a combination of project-based learning and external training.
Candidates should hold a relevant Civil Engineering degree and have some practical experience within a civil engineering or infrastructure environment, including relevant work placement experience. AutoCAD 2D experience is essential, with 3D experience being advantageous.
Knowledge of PDS, Civil 3D, Site 3D and InfoDrainage would be beneficial, although training can be provided. Familiarity with industry guidance including Manual for Streets, DMRB, Sewers for Adoption and relevant highway standards would also be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will be numerate, organised and a confident communicator, with strong written English and good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. A logical, creative approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage and prioritise workloads are also important. A full UK driving licence would be an advantage.
This is a great opportunity for an Infrastructure Technician looking to develop their technical skills and build a long-term career within a supportive and progressive consultancy.
