Principal Designer (Building Regulations)

We are seeking a Principal Designer (Building Regulations) to join a growing compliance team within a highly successful, multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy. What you’ll be doing

  • Advising clients and design teams on the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations.
  • Reviewing designs and undertaking plan checks to ensure compliance.
  • Attending client and design team meetings, providing clear and professional regulatory advice.
  • Supporting bid submissions, fee proposals and contributing to business development opportunities.
  • Ensuring high technical and commercial standards, delivering real value to clients.

 

What we’re looking for

  • A background in architecture, design or construction, ideally RIBA/ARB accredited.
  • Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, codes and associated legislation.
  • Experience working on multiple projects and an understanding of the full design and construction process.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to CPD and keeping up to date with industry changes.
