We are seeking a Principal Designer (Building Regulations) to join a growing compliance team within a highly successful, multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy. What you’ll be doing
- Advising clients and design teams on the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations.
- Reviewing designs and undertaking plan checks to ensure compliance.
- Attending client and design team meetings, providing clear and professional regulatory advice.
- Supporting bid submissions, fee proposals and contributing to business development opportunities.
- Ensuring high technical and commercial standards, delivering real value to clients.
What we’re looking for
- A background in architecture, design or construction, ideally RIBA/ARB accredited.
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, codes and associated legislation.
- Experience working on multiple projects and an understanding of the full design and construction process.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
- A proactive approach to CPD and keeping up to date with industry changes.
