A well-established, award-winning architectural practice is looking to appoint a Recently Qualified Architect to join its friendly and collaborative Leeds City Centre studio.

The Role
As a Recently Qualified Architect, you will work alongside experienced Architects, Technologists and senior members of the practice, contributing to the design and delivery of projects across multiple RIBA stages.
Rather than being expected to arrive as the finished article, you will be given the support, mentoring and project exposure needed to develop into a confident Project Architect.
You will gradually take on increasing levels of responsibility as your experience develops, with opportunities to coordinate project packages, attend client and consultant meetings, develop your technical knowledge and gain valuable experience of projects progressing from initial design through to construction.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the design and delivery of architectural projects across multiple RIBA stages
- Producing high-quality drawings, models, presentations and technical information
- Developing planning, tender and construction information
- Assisting with the preparation of drawings, schedules, specifications and technical packages
- Coordinating architectural information with structural, MEP and specialist consultants
- Working closely with experienced Project Architects and senior team members
- Attending client, design team and site meetings
- Developing your understanding of project programmes, deadlines and deliverables
- Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors and local authorities as your experience develops
- Identifying and helping to resolve design, technical and coordination issues
- Developing a strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and relevant technical standards
- Taking increasing ownership of project packages and smaller projects as your confidence grows
- Contributing positively to the wider studio and its collaborative working environment
About You
This opportunity would suit an ambitious and enthusiastic Architect who has recently qualified and is now looking for a practice where they can consolidate their experience and continue progressing.
You may already have gained good practical experience during your Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 journey, but importantly, you are not expected to have several years of post-qualification experience.
The practice is looking for someone with the right attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
Ideally, you will bring:
- ARB registration as a qualified Architect, or be in the final stages of completing registration following Part 3
- Recently qualified status, typically with up to 1–2 years’ post-qualification experience
- Previous UK architectural practice experience gained through your Part 1, Part 2 and/or Part 3 training
- Exposure to projects across a number of RIBA stages
- A good grounding in architectural design and technical delivery
- An understanding of UK Building Regulations and planning requirements
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Confidence working collaboratively within a project team
- A proactive approach and genuine desire to continue learning
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
- An interest in developing greater technical, project delivery and client-facing experience
- Revit experience would be advantageous, although it is not essential
