A well-established and growing Architectural Design Practice based in Shipley is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join its expanding team. The practice is best known for delivering high-quality work across the Commercial and Residential development sectors and continues to benefit from a strong pipeline of secured projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Architect with significant post-qualification experience to take a leading role in the design and delivery of projects, working closely with Directors, clients, and consultant teams within a supportive and design-led environment.
About the Role
As a Senior Architect, you will play a key role in leading projects from concept and planning through to construction and completion. You will be responsible for both the design and technical direction of projects, ensuring high-quality, coordinated, and commercially aware solutions are delivered.
You will lead project teams, manage client relationships, and act as a key point of contact for consultants and contractors. The role requires strong design and technical ability, excellent project leadership skills, and confidence running projects with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of commercial and residential projects from early stages through to completion
- Manage projects day-to-day, including programme, resources, and coordination of internal and external teams
- Oversee and contribute to the production of high-quality design and technical drawing packages
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors
- Coordinate consultant teams to ensure fully integrated and buildable design solutions
- Manage and oversee planning, Building Regulations submissions, and discharge of conditions
- Provide technical and design leadership within the studio, mentoring junior team members
- Respond to site queries and support projects through the construction phase
- Promote best practice in design quality, technical standards, compliance, and buildability
About You
- ARB-registered Architect (or equivalent)
- Significant post-qualification experience within a UK architectural practice
- Strong design and technical background across commercial and residential projects
- High level of proficiency in CAD and/or Revit, with the ability to oversee and review technical output
- Excellent knowledge of current UK Building Regulations and associated legislation
- Proven experience leading projects and managing client and consultant relationships
- Confident, organised, and capable of running multiple projects simultaneously
- A collaborative team player with leadership and mentoring skills
