Senior Architectural Technologist

The Role

As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in the technical delivery of a varied portfolio of projects across the Commercial, Care, Ministry of Justice and Leisure sectors.

Initially, you'll become involved in several high-profile government framework commissions within the Ministry of Justice sector, alongside an exciting range of leisure developments. Working across RIBA Stages 1-6, you will lead the production of technical information, coordinate consultant teams, resolve complex construction detailing and ensure projects are delivered to the highest technical standards.

This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone who enjoys solving design challenges, mentoring junior team members and taking ownership of project delivery from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of projects across the Commercial, Ministry of Justice and Leisure sectors.

  • Produce and review high-quality technical drawing packages using Revit.

  • Coordinate information with clients, consultants and contractors.

  • Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and current industry standards.

  • Develop detailed construction packages and technical specifications.

  • Attend design team, client and site meetings.

  • Mentor and support junior Architectural Technologists within the team.

  • Contribute towards continuous improvement of technical standards and project delivery processes.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally possess:

  • Around 5-10 years' experience within a UK architectural practice.

  • Strong technical delivery experience across commercial, public sector or leisure projects.

  • Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.

  • Advanced Revit proficiency.

  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

  • CIAT Chartered status, or working towards Chartership, would be advantageous.

  • An interest in sustainable design, MMC or low-carbon construction would be beneficial.
