A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join its Asset Consultancy team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile, purpose-driven projects across sectors such as culture, aviation, education, commercial, and heritage.
You’ll play a key role in advising clients on building performance, creative reuse, and lifecycle planning – helping them maximise the value and sustainability of their estates.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and deliver building surveying services, including technical due diligence, condition surveys, dilapidations, and defect analysis.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and act as Job Leader on select projects.
• Provide advice on asset strategy, performance, and lifecycle planning.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development.
• Support the mentoring and professional development of junior colleagues.
What They’re Looking For:
• Chartered (MRICS) or working towards chartership, with a degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience as a Senior Building Surveyor, ideally gained within a consultancy environment.
• Strong technical knowledge across a variety of building types and sectors.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with confidence leading meetings and presentations.
• Collaborative, proactive approach and strong commercial awareness.
• Willingness to travel to client sites when required.
