Conrad Consulting is delighted to be partnering with a well-established, multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy in their search for a Senior Building Surveyor to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor looking to take on a varied workload with a strong emphasis on professional Building Surveying services. You'll be working with an established portfolio of Commercial and Industrial clients, delivering high-quality advice and building long-term relationships across a diverse range of properties.
The Role
As a Senior Building Surveyor, you'll play a key role in delivering professional Building Surveying instructions while supporting the continued growth of the team. You'll manage projects independently, mentor junior colleagues where appropriate, and provide trusted advice to a broad client base.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Dilapidations (landlord and tenant)
- Technical due diligence and acquisition surveys
- Schedules of condition
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes
- Defect diagnosis and building pathology
- Contract administration on refurbishment and maintenance schemes
- Party Wall matters (desirable)
- Providing professional advice to Commercial and Industrial sector clients
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for repeat business
About You
We're looking for a confident and commercially minded Building Surveyor who enjoys delivering professional consultancy services and thrives in a client-facing environment.
You'll ideally have:
- Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- MRICS qualified (or working towards chartership with relevant experience)
- Proven experience delivering professional Building Surveying services
- Strong knowledge of Commercial and Industrial properties
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- The ability to manage your own workload and build lasting client relationships
- A full UK driving licence
