Conrad Consulting is working with a leading property and building consultancy seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join their Bedfordshire team.
The role is predominantly project focused, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to manage a varied portfolio of refurbishment, alteration, maintenance and improvement projects.
You will be responsible for delivering projects from initial feasibility through to completion, including:
- Project management
- Contract administration
- Preparation of specifications and tender documentation
- Procurement and tender analysis
- Site inspections and project monitoring
- Contractor management
- Defect diagnosis and remedial works
- Planned maintenance and major refurbishment
- Technical due diligence
- Building surveys and condition reports
- Client reporting and project updates
- Managing project programmes and budgets
You will work closely with clients, contractors and other professional consultants, providing a high level of technical and commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate
- MRICS qualified
- Strong project-focused Building Surveying experience
- Consultancy experience
- Proven experience managing refurbishment and alteration projects
- Good JCT contract administration knowledge
- Strong technical and specification-writing skills
- Excellent client-facing skills
- Ability to manage projects independently
