Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering full pre and post-contract quantity surveying services.
  • Preparing cost plans, estimates, tender documentation and procurement advice.
  • Administering and managing NEC4 contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Managing project budgets, cost reporting and forecasting.
  • Handling valuations, compensation events, change control and final accounts.
  • Identifying commercial risks and implementing effective cost management strategies.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you'll ideally have:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
  • Chartered status (MRICS) or be working towards chartership.
  • Strong, demonstrable experience administering NEC4 contracts - this is essential.
  • Experience within a consultancy or client-side environment.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and cost management expertise.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • A full UK driving licence.
