The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering full pre and post-contract quantity surveying services.
- Preparing cost plans, estimates, tender documentation and procurement advice.
- Administering and managing NEC4 contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Managing project budgets, cost reporting and forecasting.
- Handling valuations, compensation events, change control and final accounts.
- Identifying commercial risks and implementing effective cost management strategies.
- Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you'll ideally have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- Chartered status (MRICS) or be working towards chartership.
- Strong, demonstrable experience administering NEC4 contracts - this is essential.
- Experience within a consultancy or client-side environment.
- Excellent commercial awareness and cost management expertise.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- A full UK driving licence.
