Our client is seeking a talented and ambitious Senior Structural Engineer ready to take the next step beyond pure design.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Structural Project Engineer whose strengths span technical delivery, coordination and client engagement, and who has the ability to take ownership of projects while progressing toward chartership.
Working closely with the Principal Engineer and Company Director, the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of a varied portfolio of projects, with the opportunity to lead small to medium-sized schemes as experience grows. The role involves the analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures to European and British standards, along with foundation and geotechnical design.
Proficiency in software such as Statica, and Tekla Tedds is expected, together with experience producing calculations, technical reports, specifications and coordinated design information in collaboration with Revit and AutoCAD technicians.
Beyond technical expertise, the role offers genuine project leadership exposure, including leading design and site meetings, mentoring junior engineers, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure successful project delivery on time and within budget.
Candidates should hold a minimum MEng (Hons) in Structural Engineering and have at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience within a consultancy environment. A proactive, client-focused mindset, strong communication skills and a clear commitment to achieving IStructE chartered status are essential.
Our client offers a structured in-house IStructE Chartership programme, payment of professional membership fees, performance-related bonuses and a collaborative, supportive working environment—making this a superb career move.
