Due to continued growth and an expanding project workload, the Peterborough office is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Structural Technician to join its busy structural engineering team. The role offers the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of projects across the automotive, commercial, retail, education and residential sectors.
Working closely with the Structural Engineering Lead and wider project teams, the successful Senior Structural Technician will play a key role in producing detailed structural drawings and models, coordinating design information and supporting the delivery of projects from concept through to completion.
Candidates should have at least 10 years’ experience within a UK structural engineering consultancy and be confident working independently while also contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in building structures and be capable of producing accurate drawings and detailed model representations. A good understanding of structural detailing and the ability to develop general arrangement layouts and models for structures and foundations in steel, concrete, masonry and timber is essential. Strong technical ability, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to use initiative and coordinate work with other teams are also important.
Excellent communication skills are required, together with the confidence to contribute to client and external meetings. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Structural Technician looking to step into a senior position within a well-established and forward-thinking consultancy.
