SENIOR/PRINCIPAL CIVIL ENGINEER

Step into a pivotal role as a Senior / Principal Civil Engineer, delivering high-impact infrastructure solutions on behalf of our client across major, complex developments.

This is an opportunity to take a leading position within a highly respected, multi-disciplinary consultancy environment, shaping projects from early concept through to delivery while influencing technical direction and client outcomes.

You will play a key role in driving the design and coordination of civil engineering schemes, working at the forefront of highways, drainage, and infrastructure design. With expertise spanning areas such as flood risk, sustainable drainage systems, earthworks, and development infrastructure, you’ll bring creativity and technical excellence to every stage of the project lifecycle. Acting as a senior representative for our client, you will engage directly with stakeholders, lead project discussions, and provide confident, solution-focused advice both in the office and on site.

This role calls for an experienced engineer with a strong background in multi-disciplinary project environments, ideally chartered or working towards chartership with a recognised professional body such as the ICE. You’ll bring proven experience in highways and drainage design, a solid understanding of relevant legislation and agreements, and a high level of proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with knowledge of Infodrainage advantageous. Experience across the full project lifecycle, including design, coordination, and delivery, is essential, alongside familiarity with BIM and NEC contracts.

As a natural leader, you’ll be comfortable guiding teams, contributing to winning new work, and building strong client relationships. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of technically challenging projects, influence their success, and be part of a forward-thinking team delivering innovative engineering solutions.
