An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join a growing construction business delivering projects across the UK.

The successful Site Manager will oversee the day-to-day management of construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. As a Site Manager, you will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients, maintaining the highest standards of health & safety, quality and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day running of construction sites from start through to completion.
  • Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with project specifications.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel to maintain programme deadlines.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects and clients throughout project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and report on programme, quality and costs.
  • Ensure all work complies with current health & safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Carry out regular site inspections, quality checks and audits.
  • Identify and resolve site issues quickly to minimise delays.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and promote a strong health & safety culture on site.
  • Manage labour, plant, equipment and materials efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries, progress reports and incident reports.
  • Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.

Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager, Site Supervisor or similar within the construction industry.
  • Proven experience successfully delivering construction projects.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritise effectively.
  • Good knowledge of construction methods, materials and industry regulations.
  • SMSTS.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • EUSR SHEA Power or valid CSCS Card.
  • IT literate with experience using Microsoft Office.

Desirable

  • Qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience working on petrol forecourt projects.
  • Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.
