Conrad Consulting are excited to be working with an established main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their team on a major multi-million-pound new build project in Glasgow.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager to take responsibility for a significant package of works within a large-scale project, working alongside an experienced site team.
The Role of the Site Manager:
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of works on site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities of the Site Manager:
- Managing subcontractors and site operatives on a daily basis
- Coordinating site activities and ensuring works are delivered in line with the programme
- Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team
- Managing short-term programmes and lookaheads
- Monitoring progress, quality and productivity
- Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety requirements
- Attending site meetings and coordinating with subcontractors and stakeholders
- Identifying and resolving any issues that could impact programme or delivery
- Ensuring works are completed to the required specification and quality standards
- Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to the project team
Requirements of the Site Manager:
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in large-scale new build construction.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience working as a Site Manager on large construction projects
- Experience delivering multi-million-pound projects
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and site management
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
- Good understanding of health & safety and quality requirements
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- The ability to work effectively within a large project team
- Previous experience with a Tier 1 or major main contractor would be advantageous
What's on Offer for the Site Manager?
- £65,000 - £75,000 basic salary
