Technical Administrator

A fast-growing house building company based in Pontefract (WF9) is seeking a highly organised and proactive Technical Administrator to support its expanding technical team across a range of residential and mixed-use developments.

This is a key support role within a busy construction environment, working closely with design managers, engineers, and architects to ensure the smooth coordination of technical documentation and day-to-day processes. The position offers excellent flexibility, making it ideal for candidates seeking part-time or school-hours working.

The Role

  • Provide administrative support to the technical team across multiple projects
  • Process invoices related to technical functions
  • Manage and maintain document control systems (e.g. Viewpoint), including drawings and revision tracking
  • Organise and compile Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals
  • Assist with preparing applications and technical documentation
  • Prepare and format correspondence, reports, and project documentation
  • Support design managers, engineers, and architects with day-to-day tasks
  • Ensure accurate filing, record-keeping, and document control across all projects

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within construction or housebuilding
  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and typing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience using document control systems (e.g. Viewpoint, Asite, Aconex or similar)
  • Familiarity with technical drawings and construction documentation
